About Hospice Palliative Care
Hospice is more than a building and palliative care is more than end-of-life.
What is hospice palliative care?
Hospice palliative care is health care that aims to relieve suffering and improve the quality of life for people who are living with or dying from advanced illness. It is provided in many different settings – hospices, hospitals, long-term care facilities and homes. The focus of hospice palliative care is to meet the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of both the patient and their loved ones.
