Who this workshop is for: The series is open to all healthcare workers and volunteers in the Ontario Health East region. The information in the sessions is geared towards healthcare workers and volunteers.

Workshop descriptions

This workshop is typically offered as a 2 or 3 hour session.  Organizations can receive the workshops at their own pace. The workshop is based on our guidebook, "Self-Compassion for Healthcare Providers: An Experiential Approach."

In the self-compassion workshop, we will:

Explore the three main skills of self-compassion based on Kristen Neff and Christopher Germer's research: mindfulness, self-kindness and common humanity 

Practice experiential self-compassion activities and exercises.

Reflect about how you might implement some brief self-compassion practices in your daily life.

In addition to the workshop above, we can provide additional sessions with interactive exercises to prepare healthcare staff and volunteers to deliver self-compassion workshops.
